“학교에 갔어요” (hak-kyo-e ga-sseo-yo) means “I went to school” in Korean.
- 학교에 (hak-kyo-e) = to school (학교 = school, 에 = location particle meaning “to”)
- 갔어요 (ga-sseo-yo) = went (past tense of the verb “가다” meaning “to go”)
This is a polite way to say that you or someone else went to school.
