Korean Fun Facts: Cuisine

There are over 200 types of kimchi, and each one has its own unique flavor. The most famous one is baechu kimchi (배추 김치), made with napa cabbage. But there are many others too. For example, kkakdugi (깍두기) is made with cubed radish, and chonggak kimchi (총각 김치) uses small, young radishes called chonggak (총각). Different regions and seasons in Korea also bring their own twists to kimchi, making it a fun and delicious part of Korean food culture.
