To count weight in Korean, you can use the counter 킬로그램 (killogeuraem), which is used for measuring mass or weight in kilograms.
How to use 킬로그램:
- 일 킬로그램 (il killogeuraem) = 1 kilogram
- 이 킬로그램 (i killogeuraem) = 2 kilograms
- 삼 킬로그램 (sam killogeuraem) = 3 kilograms
Example sentences:
Structure: noun + number + counter
- 이 사과는 한 킬로그램이에요. = This apple weighs 1 kilogram.
- 제 가방은 오 킬로그램이에요. = My bag weighs 5 kilograms.
- 이 물고기는 이 킬로그램이에요. = This fish weighs 2 kilograms.
킬로그램 is both formal and casual contexts, and you always use Sino-Korean numbers with this counter.
