To count machines or vehicles in Korean, you use the counter 대 (dae). This counter is used for items like cars, bicycles, computers, or any kind of machinery.

How to use 대:

  • 한 대 (han dae) = one machine/vehicle
  • 두 대 (du dae) = two machines/vehicles
  • 세 대 (se dae) = three machines/vehicles

Example sentences:

Structure: noun + number + counter

  • 차 한 대 있어요. = I have one car.
  • 자전거 두 대 샀어요. = I bought two bicycles.

Just add the number before 대, and you’re good to go.
