그리고 in Korean means “and” or “and then,” and it’s used to connect sentences or phrases, similar to how we use “and” or “and then,” in English to connect nouns, and show a sequence of ideas or actions.
Here’s how it works:
Connecting Nouns:
사과 그리고 바나나 (sagwa geurigo banana)
“Apple and banana.”
Connecting Sentences:
저는 밥을 먹어요. 그리고 물을 마셔요. (jeoneun bapeul meogeoyo. Geurigo muleul masyeoyo)
“I eat rice. And I drink water.”
Showing Sequence:
친구를 만났어요. 그리고 영화를 봤어요. (chingureul mannasseoyo. Geurigo yeonghwareul bwasseoyo)
“I met a friend. And then we watched a movie.”
