이거 (igeo) means “this” in Korean. You use it when you’re talking about something that’s close to you, like pointing out an object right in front of you. It’s the equivalent of saying “this thing” or just “this” in English. For example, if you’re holding a pen and want to ask, “What is this?” you’d say, “이거 뭐예요?” (igeo mwoyeyo?).
