안녕히 계세요 (Annyeonghi Gyeseyo) is a polite way to say “Goodbye” in Korean when you’re the one leaving, and the other person is staying. It literally means “Stay in peace.” You’d use this when you’re heading out from somewhere, like leaving a friend’s house or saying goodbye to someone at work.
If the roles are reversed and the other person is leaving, you’d say 안녕히 가세요 (Annyeonghi Gaseyo), which means “Go in peace.”
